Dana Garland-Colon, 33, of Hampton was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for injuries she suffered when her 2004 Pontiac Sunfire was hit from behind by a 2012 Ford Flex driven by Debra O'Hara, 47, of Lebanon, police said. The accident happened around 4 p.m.

Garland-Colon's car was stopped in traffic near the Petticoat Lane intersection when it was struck, and the impact pushed the Sunfire into the rear of a 2005 Toyota RAV4 driven by Andrew Oakes, 21, of Stamford, Conn., police said.

In a separate accident on Wednesday, a Frenchtown man suffered apparent minor injuries, police said.

Albert Navarro, 46, of Frenchtown was driving a 2011 BMW 3S south on Route 31 around 6 p.m. when it hit the rear of a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dawn Pursell, 47, also of Frenchtown, police said.

Pursell's pickup truck was stopped at a red light at Payne Road when it was hit, police said. The airbags in Navarro's car deployed and it had to be towed.

Navarro received a summons for careless driving.
