GLEN GARDNER -- A Hillsborough man is charged with child abuse in Glen Gardner.
David D. Hydro (courtesy Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office)David D. Hydro, 33, was arrested in Manville and charged, according to a release issued jointly Tuesday by Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns III and Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski.
Hydro is charged with making terroristic threats, a third-degree crime, and child abuse, a fourth-degree crime, Kearns said in the release.
The arrest followed a joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Special Victims Unit and the Manville Borough Police Department.
"Detectives were assisted by the Manville Borough Police Department during Mr. Hydro's arrest," Kearns said.
Bail was set at $20,000, which Hydro posted, authorities said. He is awaiting a first court appearance.

"Crimes involving children are a serious offense," Kearns said. "If found guilty the defendant can be sentenced to five years in prison for the third-degree charge."
