Hunterdon Jr. Red Devils JV Team
The Jr Red Devils defeated North Plainfield, 18-0, at home this weekend. The boys had a great day on defense with Joey Valentino, Chase Hendrickson, Bennett Cryero, Ben Nemeth, Damien Colop, and Cole Gray making tackles for the team. In addition Alex Cantor, Sean Bartley and Vincent Brito made tackles for losses benefiting the team. Julio Marsiglia and Jacob Tocci each sacked the quarterback ending those plays before they even started. Toby Chernesky recovered a fumble for the team and Bradley Emmons broke up two passes and intercepted a third pass. All of these great defensive plays made it very hard for North Plainfield to move the ball.
On offense Bradley Emmons and Joey Valentino fought hard for yards on the ground. Vincent Brito and Cole Gray each ran the ball for multiple first downs. Ben Nemeth connected with Vincent Brito for a 35-yard pass. Julio Marsiglia, Alex Cantor, and Ben Nemeth each scored a touchdown for the team. All of this was made possible by the hard-nosed blocking of Kevin Li, Austin Panella, Zachary Ghanim, Justice Korn, Ethan Quiroz, and Aiden Aponte. The boys left the field feeling great coming off their biggest win of the season, and are looking forward to their next game.
