The victim and the 5-year-old had moved from Flemington to Connecticut over the weekend
NEW YORK-- Police have identified a person of interest in the possible homicide of a woman in Stamford, Ct., the same person who is also believed to have abandoned his 5-year-old daughter at the Port Authority Bus Terminal Monday, WABC 7 reported.
Port Authority police were called after commuters noticed the child unattended for an extended period of time Monday morning, the agency said.
The girl is believed to be the daughter of Elmer Gomez Ruono, 32, who is a person of interest in the death of his estranged wife. The woman's body was discovered at the Stamford apartment where she had just recently moved with the girl from Flemington, WNBC 4 reported.
Ruono is described as approximately 5'8" tall, about 140 lbs, with long black hair and a medium build.
