RARITAN TWP. - Alvin "Archie" Fagan will be presented with the distinguished Citizen of the Year Award from the Hunterdon Arrowhead District of the Washington Crossing Council of the Boy Scouts on Oct. 20.

Fagan has become a recognizable figure in the Flemington ShopRite in Raritan Township and the community with a dedicated following of customers that look forward to shopping in the store and being greeted in Fagan's unique way.

He continues to work to this day greeting customers, promoting sales, and acting as an ambassador to the community.
