A $1,000 reward is being offered for information on a shooting that took place in Readington Township on July 22, 2016.
FLEMINGTON - A $1,000 reward is being offered for information on a shooting that took place in Readington Township, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III announced Friday.
The shooting occurred July 22 in a field off Higginsville Road, Kearns said.
"The investigation revealed a woman was operating a tractor in a remote field on her property when she was struck by pellets fired from a suspected shotgun," Kearns said. "The victim sustained injuries to the back of her head, neck and torso."
The woman was taken to Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, where she was treated and released. Assisting in the investigation were officers from the New Jersey Division of Fish and Game and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Bureau.

"Crimestoppers of Hunterdon County has offered a cash reward of $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the persons responsible for this crime," Kearns said.

The announcement about the reward and joint investigation was made by Kearns, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski and Readington Township Police Chief Sebastian Donaruma.
