Interviews with witnesses are continuing.
CLINTON -- The driver and bicyclist involved in a reported hit-and-run crash last week have been identified after they came to police headquarters, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing and no charges have been filed in the July 28 crash. Police had issued a call for witnesses to the crash after both the driver and the bicyclist left the scene.
Theresa Moncada, 73, of Union Township, went to police headquarters Sunday and identified herself as the driver of the green 2010 Honda SUV that was involved, police said. She also gave a statement.
A day earlier, Bill Johnson, 27, of High Bridge, went to police headquarters and identified himself as the bicyclist.
Witnesses who reported the 7:11 a.m. crash at the corner of Main and Leigh streets told officers the bicyclist was talking on a cell phone while riding on the sidewalk, police said. He was hit when he traveled into the crosswalk, police said.

Moncada told police she thought that she had "hit a garbage can by J.J. Scoops Ice Cream Parlor, looked back through the rear view mirror" and "saw a young man picking up a bicycle and waved me on to go," police said in a release.
Moncada told police that she returned to the intersection to check to make sure that everything was OK but that no one was there, police said.
Sgt. Jay Hunter is continuing to investigate the accident. "Motor Vehicle charges against both the bicyclist and motorist are pending additional interviews with witnesses to the incident," police said.
