In celebration of American Education Week, observed this year during the week of Nov. 16, seventeen community members visited Readington Township Schools to serve as guest teachers and share their knowledge and experience in a variety of areas with the students.

At the elementary schools, students enjoyed having the visitors read special stories to them. At the upper grades, the guest teachers presented lessons in a variety of areas, including science, math, foreign cultures, finance, technology, anatomy, and social studies.

This is the second year that Readington's Superintendent of Schools, Barbara Sargent, has extended the invitation to participate in American Education Week. She plans to extend the invitation again next year, commenting, "We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such dynamic community members. Our students learn so much from these experts, and we appreciate their interest in volunteering their time and resources."
