Students honored veterans at a Veterans Day celebration.
Valley View School second-grader Charlie Cole presents veteran Joseph Delusant with a letter of thanks for his service on Veterans Day. LEBANON -- Students at Valley View School honored nearly 30 veterans at a Veterans Day celebration they hosted on Nov. 9.
The day began with an assembly where students presented guests with handmade poppies, read letters of thanks and sang songs in the veterans' honor. After the assembly, veterans spent time in the classrooms answering students' questions before wrapping up the day with a reception.
"Valley View School is honored to have had the opportunity to say thank you to those who have sacrificed so much for our safety and protection," said teacher Marisa Stettner.
