There are many people who help make Clinton's annual Apple 'n Pumpkin Harvest Festival and Clinton Farmers' Market a success.
To the editor:
Recently Clinton celebrated with the second annual Apple 'n Pumpkin Harvest Festival and completed the sixth season of the Clinton Farmers' Market.
Over the years the Clinton Farmers' Market and the annual Apple 'n Pumpkin Harvest Festival have grown and become a favorite for many folks from all over the area.
Putting on an event like the harvest festival and running the farmers' market every Sunday, May through October, takes a lot of planning with the help of supporters and volunteers.
I would like to thank everyone that help me make these programs of the West Jersey Farmers' Market Association and the Clinton Book Shop so successful:
- My partner, Rob Dougherty, who works tirelessly along side me to make all this happen.
- Mayor Janice Kovach for all her support.
- The members of the Clinton Town Council for their support.
- To Weichart Realtors of Clinton, Mount Salem Vineyards, Unity Bank, Clinton United Methodist Church, Country Fresh Farm for their support.
- A big thank-you to Anna Maria Gialias and all the folks from the Clinton House for planning and running the beer/wine garden the day of the harvest festival.
- To those that I know of that volunteered their time or gave their support in various ways, Town of Clinton Clerk Ceil Covino, Rosemary and Marty Pendergast, Cathy Pawlowski and Glen Ehrhardt, Deb Banes-Schaffer, Margaret Villegas, Sara Brown, Pina Giuliana, Lori Grossi, Kathy Burkhour with Bark Printing and Promotions, Sandy Dabb and the Hunterdon County Fur 'n Feather 4-H Poultry Waterfowl & Small Animal Club, Eagle Tent Rentals, Lightsource Chiropractic, Yoga Barre Haven and Yellow Dog Paddle.
- To all the Clinton Farmers' Market vendors that truely make the farmers' market and the festival a huge success.
- To the Clinton Fire Company for the use of their parking lot.
- To the Twin River Rounders, Allie-OOPS!, Raritan Valley Recovery, and Wild Magnolia who entertained us on the day of the festival and to Tom Johnston who faithfully provides music at the farmers' market throughout the season.
- To Vince's Cheesesteaks, Maddalenas, Aunt DeeDee's, and Celestine's Catering Company for providing yummy stuff to eat on the festival day.
- To everyone that contributed money in the collection jars on the Clinton Farmers' Market vendor's tables all season long.
- To all the other vendors and crafters that came on festival day and to all that entered your apple pies in the baking contest.
- To everyone that I'm unaware of or don't know your name that helped that day.
- And a real big thank-you to the kids and adults that attended the festival and made it a huge success this year as well as supporting the Clinton Farmers' Market every Sunday May through October.
I hope you all had a fun time this past season and I'm looking forward to seeing you all next year on the first Sunday in May for the opening of the farmers' market and Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 for the third annual Apple 'n Pumpkin Harvest Festival.
