READINGTON TWP. - Two Somerset County teens are facing drug and alcohol charges after being stopped in the township on Saturday.
Patrolman Peter Serrone stopped a 2014 Toyota on Pleasant Run Road because it had no taillights. Serrone reported finding a marijuana grinder in the console of the vehicle. A further search turned up an open bottle of vodka and a glass marijuana pipe, police said.
A passenger, Samantha Morrison, 19, of Bridgewater, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia, police reported. The driver, Lindsay Berger, 18, of Hillsborough, was arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol.
A third person in the vehicle was released with no charges.
