CLINTON TWP. - Local law enforcement officers will be honored by Crime Stoppers of Hunterdon County at a September Shindig at Valley Crest Farm and Reserve on Allerton Road from 2-6 p.m. Sunday.
The casual event will be catered by Chive and Thyme and will feature the Back Porch Jug Band. Tickets are $75 each and residents can purchase tickets for themselves, or make a tax deductible donation which will allow a law enforcement officer to attend the event for free, according to a news release.
Reward offered for information on Hunterdon shooting
Crime Stoppers is a 501c3 non profit organization which offers a way for residents to receive cash awards for anonymously providing information that leads to the arrest or conviction of someone accused of a crime.
In the last year, Hunterdon Crime Stoppers generated anonymous tips that helped Law Enforcement solve 50 crimes, leading to 16 arrests for crimes that included sexual assault, assault, burglary, theft, narcotics and prostitution, according to the release.
Proceeds from the Shindig will fund rewards; no taxpayer funds are used.
