UNION TOWNSHIP -- A crash has closed I-78 westbound at the exit for Perryville Road.
All lanes of the westbound highway were closed as of 10:25 a.m. Sunday for an accident investigation, 511nj said. All but one lane had reopened as of 11:30 a.m.
The crash involved at least one vehicle that rolled over, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn said. Police did not immediately have details on injuries or what led to the crash.
A New Jersey State Police helicopter was seen taking two passengers from the site of the crash. The helicopter landed just west of the crash.
A Ford Explorer and Pontiac Grand Prix were involved in the collision. Several people were treated for injuries.
The Clinton Rescue Squad, Pattenberg Rescue Squad, High Bridge Rescue Squad, Clinton Fire Department, Pattenburg Fire Department and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center responded to the scene.
