Update: Somerset County woman is found after the accident having suffered only minor injuries.
READINGTON - Firefighters extinguished a blaze after a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Lamington and Meadow roads on Saturday.
The accident was reported at 3:59 a.m. The driver apparently fled the scene prior to the arrival of police and firefighters. The vehicle appeared to be traveling south on Lamington Road when it crashed head-on into a tree, according to those at the scene.
Responding were township police, the East Whitehouse and Whitehouse fire departments and Whitehouse Rescue Squad.
