American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Hunterdon County will be held Saturday through Sunday at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Raritan Township.
RARITAN TWP. - The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Hunterdon County will be held Saturday at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.
The relay begins at the Fieldhouse on Junction Road at noon on Saturday and continues to 6 a.m. Sunday. Events include an opening ceremony and a celebratory cancer survivors lap at 2 p.m., a survivors dinner at 2 pm., a luminaria ceremony where candles are lit in honor and memory of locals who have battled cancer at 9 p.m. and a fight back ceremony at midnight.
Organizers said there are over 500 people taking part in this year's relay.
Base Entertainment will be on hand, according to a news release. There will also be superheros and activities and entertainment for all ages, including face painting, games, themed laps, karaoke and more.
Money raised will help the American Cancer Society fund cancer research, provide free information and services for people with cancer, as well as supporting education and prevention programs, according to the news release.
