Two accidents are causing delays in Hunterdon and Somerset counties on Thursday, May 19, 2016.
An accident is causing heavy delays on Interstate 78 in Somerset and Hunterdon counties Thursday morning.
A second accident on southbound Route 31 in Lebanon Township north of Route 78 is also causing delays.
The eastbound Interstate 78 accident has been reported just prior to the Interstate 287 interchange in Bedminster Township. Delays of up to 8 miles west to Lebanon Borough are being reported. The accident occurred shortly before 8 a.m.

An accident on southbound Route 31 in Lebanon Township happened at the intersection of Van Syckles Road just after 7:30 a.m., according to reports. Southbound traffic is at a standstill for up to a mile into Hampton.
There are also delays from volume being reported on southbound Route 31 beyween East Main Street and Junction Road and Routes 202/12 in Flemington.
