BRIDGEWATER -- Crime Stoppers of Somerset County is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who robbed a township Quick Chek with a shotgun.
At approximately 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, police received a 9-1-1 call of an armed robbery at the Quick Chek located on Union Avenue, police said.
Police reported finding the store clerk unharmed. She told officers that a man entered the store brandishing a shotgun and demanded money.
The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes, and then escaped on foot. He was last seen running eastbound in the parking lot, police said.
The clerk described him as a slightly built man wearing wearing a blue colored front zip-style hoodie with the hood up, jeans, dark colored shoes or boots, light colored gloves and a nondescript mask covering his face, police said.
