A Chevy wagon was parked with its flashers on when it was hit, police said.
CLINTON TWP. -- A North Brunswick man suffered apparently minor injuries when his car was hit while it was parked on the shoulder of Route 31, police said.
The accident happened on Wednesday at 9:05 a.m. on Route 31 south near Center Street. Nicholas Mondi, 62, of North Brunswick had parked his 2013 Chevrolet wagon on the shoulder while he conducted road measurements and surveyed traffic, police said.
The wagon, "which is used for such purposes, had its amber lights and four-way hazard lights activated," police added.

A 2007 Ford pickup driven by Marash Jakaj, 52, of Clinton was heading south on Route 31 and traveled onto the shoulder, hitting the rear of Mondi's wagon, police said.
The airbags in Jakaj's truck deployed and both vehicles had to be towed away.
Jakaj was issued a summons for careless driving.
