Police say the duo had previously been removed from the apartment and told not to return.
FRENCHTOWN -- Two people were arrested on Tuesday at the Frenchtown Commons and charged with defiant trespass.
Aaron M. Rowe, 23, of Succasunna and Laura M. Bittenmaster, 21, of Glen Gardner were charged and released pending court hearings, police said.
The two had previously been removed from the apartment and told not to return, according to police.
Chief Allan Kurylka and Patrolman Robert Young reported that when they found Rowe and Bittenmaster in the apartment, it was in "deplorable condition."
