I never thought that a ball could be so... smart Shot power, distance traveled, spot where the ball and the foot made contact, etc... The Adidas MI Coach smart ball does it all. I never thought that a ball could be so ...  smart.

Something that I thought would never work was swimming in the deep end. To be sure, I never thought I could swim in the deep end. I was scared to swim. My legs were shaking. I said "no" but I did it anyway. However, to my surprise I was able to swim in the deep end.

Something that I thought would never work was my old phone after I dropped it in water. To be sure, after I dropped my phone in the water I thought it would never work again, but I pulled it right out. I dried it off with a towel and put it in a safe location. All I did was replace the battery,  and it started working. I was so surprised and happy that my phone ended up working!

Something that I thought that would never work was my mom getting Justin Bieber tickets. But to my surprise my mom got them for a Christmas present. I never thought she would get Justin Bieber tickets. They are really hard to get and they cost a lot of money!! Also, he is really popular in the music world. Lastly, he is really good at singing so that makes it really hard to get Justin Bieber tickets!! However, to my surprise my mom got Justin Bieber tickets!!

In the summer of 6th grade, going into 7th, I was bored out of my mind, so one day I decided to write a story online. Over the course of that summer and my 7th grade school year, I kept writing and my readers kept growing. To this day, I have 85,000 readers and counting. I guess writing a story to distract my boredom worked out for me.

One thing that I thought would never work is when we had a book report and it was due in two weeks from that day. I really thought that it would never work but it did. I finished the book in the two weeks. I don't read much and I thought it would never work but it did work!!! This is a thing that I thought would never work but it really worked!

I've never thought that elephants can be aggressive. But I went on the iPad and saw top 10 most dangerous animals. The African elephant has made several kills per year. Second shock: We are the most dangerous animals on earth. We've killed people and animals.

When I was learning how to make a warm fuzzy I thought to myself this is never going to work, but I tried anyway. There were many steps to follow to make a little fuzzy yarn ball. The first step was to get a piece of cardboard, put your fingers on the cardboard, and  next wrap the yarn around the cardboard 75 times. Then you had to take it off the cardboard and take a new piece of string and lay it down. After that you take the fuzzie and lay it on the string and you tie it tight. The last step is to cut it to give it a haircut. When I was giving mine a haircut it started coming apart,  but I saved it and it worked!

My friend and I were working on making a warm fuzzy yarn ball. Our first two attempts had been fails, but we were still avid about making fuzzies. Then we started to work on the third one, it did not look very good. We said to ourselves " this is never going to work!" My friend kept on cutting, and it looked like it was about to fall apart. It kept shrinking and was almost the size of my thumb's fingernail. I started to give up on it, but after a few more snips with the scissors it looked like a very very very small fuzzy. It worked! We were very proud of it!

My first time driving a Go kart was breathtaking!  I got in the machine sweating my bottom off. I did not know if the talent would be able to come to me. The signal of the stoplight went off that meant it was time to start the race. I Floored the gas pedal, feeling the engine rattling and rumbling right behind my back. finally on my 2nd and a half lap at 50 mph in only 70 seconds! and all the sudden BANG! CRASH! BAM! I get slammed into another guy in pain. I said to myself, "this is never going to work"  A guy working the track came over and helped me. I said to myself " I am back in the game!" And it is the last lap and I take the lead! I get out of the go kart happily in 1st place. I run into the lobby Screaming "yes! It did work!"  I am definitely doing that again I said to my mom in the car on the ride home.

"This will never work! Never!" I exclaimed. "I know what's going to happen! I'm going to try to solve the Rubik's cube, but it's not going to work!" I said with disbelief. I watched YouTube for about 30 minutes on how to solve The Rubik's cube. Then I tried the technique, then eventually in my hands I saw a solved Rubik's cube with every side completed! I was filled with joy and sentimentality! I showed my whole family that I can now solve The Rubik's cube!

I forgot! Every year at the last game they see how many can make a half court shot. I am never going to make a half court shot. It just is not going to work.  It never did. I try every year. I am not strong enough. I do not even know why I am trying this year?  I gave my $5 and gave it a try.  All I heard was bang swoosh. I did it! I made a half court shot!   My first one!

Have you ever had that feeling that something would never work? Well, I definitely have! I am a cheerleader, and we do many risky things that many of us think will never work! We once did something called "a 360." Which, by the name, is when the group works with different positions to make the girl spin around completely until our hands are on our chests. Our flier, (the girl on the top of the stunt) was scared and was wiggley. She sat back, or fell forward. It was a mess! When practice ended, I thought it would never work. Then, the next practice, we got ahead of ourselves and kept working, and working. Soon, we did it. Then we did it again, and again. I was so happy. Then, we had a competition and won 1st place. After that, I realized, if you really try, you can achieve anything! That is my story of something I thought would never work, but did!

Happy Birthday! It was now present opening time, and I was going to open my first present. It was the Millennium Falcon in Lego form! I opened up the box. There were so many pieces! How was I going to get this done? I said to myself, " I am never going to get this done."But, in two weeks, I had accomplished, finished, and conquered the lego set. I was very proud of myself.

Somethings I thought would never work but did!!!! I would have thought my father's technique would never work and that technique  was if you take your hand and move it higher on the bat the ball will go further into the field.   My coaches technique was just to look up to see if you have the time to shoot, pass, or dribble.  I thought my mom's technique would never work but it did:  take hot water and just soaked dirty dishes. I thought my brothers technique would not work of using  electronics to help you run faster. I tried all of these and they all worked.

One thing I thought would never work but it did, is writing a letter to Santa for some rare books and getting them. I asked for some old Goosebumps 1990s books. I wrote to Santa that I wanted them and I didn't believe he would actually get them, but when I opened my present from Santa it was what I asked for! I was really surprised that he got a few 1990s Goosebumps books! I don't know where he got them since they are not sold in stores. It was so surprising I nearly fainted! I was so happy that Santa got them for me! He also got me some other old Goosebumps things that I didn't think I would get, but I did. For example, a Goosebumps board game, Goosebumps trading cards, a Goosebumps white board, and a Goosebumps bookmark. I even got a Goosebumps keychain that screams! Writing a letter to Santa for rare presents is one thing I thought would never work, but it did.

I wrote to Santa, can I have a leopard gecko on Christmas? I didn't think I was going to get it,but I actually got a leopard gecko under the Christmas tree. I was so happy. My aunt called, and she lives in Colorado. When I told her,she said, "Kevin did you scream?"

I thought it was impossible to train my dog fetch because he's not the brightest. One day I tried to teach him. He went to get it, brought it back, and dropped it. It worked! The next day I did it again. He got it and started trotting back, but he didn't drop it! Ever since then I teach him fetch once a week.

One time I played a game of chess with my brother, Zachary.  I'm usually good at chess, but I wasn't doing well this time. I thought I was never going to win. Soon, I promoted my pawn and won the game!  I knew from that day on that I was never going to lose a game of chess again.

One day when I was in third grade our class's pencil sharpener stopped working ,and then Alaina said she would take it home and ask her dad if he could fix it. He is really good at fixing things. I really didn't think it would work again. Then to my surprise, a couple of  days later, Alaina came to school with the pencil sharpener all fixed. I couldn't believe it, but Alaina's dad really did it.

I opened the gigantic present under the tree that Santa had brought. To my surprise it was ROLLER SKATES! Then I realized something. I don't know how to skate. I'll probably never be able to. I cried out, "I got roller skates, but I don't know how skate." My dad replied, "I will teach you, honey. When we get home from delivering meals." "Thanks dad," I replied. So four hours later, we arrived home from delivering meals. I ran into the house, grabbed my roller skates, and shouted, "I will meet you out on the front porch Dad!" So about ten minutes later my dad came out. I had already put on my skates. My dad helped me up from the porch. I could hardly even stand. I felt like I was going to fall on my face or butt. It took me five minutes to redeem my balance. My dad held me for a little bit. All of a sudden my dad whispered," I am going to let you go now." Before I knew it, I was doing it all by myself great. That is something I never thought I would be able to do and did it.

Something I tried and thought it would not work was when my parents taught me how to ride my bike. I thought I would fail and fall off my bike and die and splat on my blacktop. But to my surprise I was actually pretty good. I did fall off twice, but I did not splat on my blacktop and die. Then I taught my little brother. Now THAT included a LOT of falling.

The ball is out of here!  Once when I was in the batting cage with my coach he told me to explode through the ball.  At practice I didn't explode through the ball and my coach was soooooo mad at me that he yelled at me the whole practice.  Then I did explode through the ball and hit home runs.

My mom said that I could score a goal under 2 minutes, but I never thought that I could because I am not a fast runner.  But when I got the ball, I ran as fast as I could.  When I got to the the circle, I was so scared, but then I scored a goal and I was so happy.  My mom was right.

Something that I thought would never work but did was bunting in baseball. I always thought that I was only supposed to to do it when someone was on first or second base and we either had 1 or 0 outs.  Once I bunted when there was no one on a base and went against the foul line and I ended up getting a triple by running. That is something that I thought would never work, but it ended up working anyway.

One time my parents thought that I would do good at basketball. I thought, (this is never going to work.   Then I said, "I guess, but don't think it will go well."  So I went to the first practice and it was okay, but not the greatest.  When I went to my first game it was actually pretty fun. I started to practice and it got more and more entertaining. That is the story of my basketball life.

What I thought was never going to happen but it did was when the Green Bay Packers threw a Hail Mary and caught it in the end zone for a touchdown to win the game. Most of the time when that happens the players don't catch it. When they do catch the football it's amazing because there is so many people in the end zone that is really hard to catch the ball.

Something that one time I tried and I thought I would never like is tacos. I didn't think that I would like tacos because I usually hate anything that is even the tiniest bit hot or spicy. Tacos are almost always hot or spicy, except for the shell of course.  I neglected tacos for years and was not willing to try them.

Then one gloomy night, my mom forced me to try them.  I took one bite of those peppers, rice, and meat and thought I was going to regret it.  I chewed, chewed, and chewed and when I was finished I swallowed.  I thought, wow, that was good, and  I came to conclusion that I loved tacos!

One thing I thought that would never work was my hoverboard because it looks so hard to balance on, but it did work. I got one for Christmas and it was actually really easy to stand up on.  It took a little bit to do it.  The reason I thought it wouldn't work was because it looked hard to just get on it.

One thing I thought would never work, but actually did, was when I used peppermints as glue. I was making horse treats, but you can't use glue or icing, so I used peppermints. First, I put a mint on a plate and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes.  It melted into a sticky paste. Then, I dipped another mint into the paste and glued it to the horse cookie. I was really surprised that it worked perfectly!

Something I thought would never work was using recycling to make a mini boat that could float in a pool with waves.  To my surprise, it did!  My friend and I made a boat out of cardboard, water bottles, soda bottles, and tape!  We thought that it wouldn't float, but when we put it in a pool and started making waves, it did. It even held the passenger that we put inside. Though, it did capsize after a little while, but at least it floated.
