LEBANON TWP.-- Homeowners were not inside at the time of a chimney fire in Lebanon Township on Friday, Jan. 1.
First responders were dispatched at 5:15 p.m. to a chimney fire at 21 Rocky Run Road in Lebanon Townshipand the fire was contained to the interior of the chimney, according to officials at the scene.

The fire department had to clean out the blockage in the chimney in order to extinguish the fire.
Lebanon Township Police, Lebanon Township Fire Department, Glen Gardner Fire Department, and High Bridge Fire Department responded to the fire, which was cleared at 6:30 p.m.
An additional chimney fire was reported that day in Clinton Township.
