Ford pickup truck crashes through trees, lands on Nissan in Alexandria

A Ford pickup truck apparently traveling west on Sweet Hollow Road crashed through two pine trees, went down an embankment, rolled over and landed on the hood of a Nissan Altima parked in the driveway of a residence, according to emergency responders.

Emergency rescue workers were called to one-vehicle accident involving a Ford pickup truck that had rolled over on Sweet Hollow Road in Alexandria Township on New Year's Day.

The call came in at 2:14 a.m. A Ford pickup truck apparently traveling west on Sweet Hollow Road crashed through two pine trees, went down an embankment, rolled over and landed on the hood of a Nissan Altima parked in the driveway of a residence, according to emergency responders.

One pine tree was torn completely out of the ground with its roots intact and the other was snapped off at the trunk.

The driver was reported to be partially trapped in the truck, according to emergency crews at the scene.

The driver was removed from the vehicle by rescue workers and transported to St Luke's in Bethlehem, Pa., by Pattenburg Rescue Squad and Hunterdon County Medical Center paramedics.

Responding to the scene were the New Jersey State Police, Pattenburg Rescue Squad, Bloomsbury Fire Department, Pattenburg Fire Department and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center.
